RequirementsLink copied

  • PolyZone is required by the default zone setup.
  • ox_inventory is recommended for item images and metadata.
  • A weather sync and target resource are optional.
  • ESX, QBCore, Qbox, ox_core, vRP, and standalone are supported.

ox_lib can replace PolyZone for zones. It also enables ox logging.

The script creates database/database.json during its first start.

The first successful start creates the local data file automatically.

Add inventory itemsLink copied

Ready-made entries for all 43 items are in ox_inventory_items.lua.

Copy the matching .png files into ox_inventory/web/images/. Each filename must match its item name.

Rods need an ox_inventory client export. Other inventories use the sc_fishing:useItem event.

Choose a zone providerLink copied

The default manifest imports PolyZone, BoxZone, and CircleZone.

To use ox_lib, remove those imports. Add @ox_lib/init.lua to shared_scripts.

Set Config.Zones.provider to auto, ox_lib, polyzone, or custom.

Startup checksLink copied

At startup, the script compares required items with your inventory.

Missing items appear in the console with a paste-ready ox_inventory entry.

Resource orderLink copied

Start Fishing after the framework, inventory, and zone dependency.

Start your weather and target resources before Fishing when you use them.

PolyZone requires three imports: client.lua, BoxZone.lua, and CircleZone.lua.

Importing only client.lua breaks box and sphere zones.

Inventory checklistLink copied

Fishing ships with 43 items: 36 fish, five rods, bait, and a rod body.

For ox_inventory, rods use sc_fishing.fishingrod as their client export.

Other supported inventories use the built-in bridge automatically.

Before going liveLink copied

  1. 1.
Confirm every required item exists in your inventory.
  2. 2.
Confirm every icon filename matches its item name.
  3. 3.
    Confirm the console creates database/database.json.
  4. 4.
Test a shore zone and any offshore boat zone.
