QBCore started as the alternative to ESX and has taken a large share of newer servers. You recognise its resources by the qb- prefix, and the core itself is qb-core. QBox grew out of it — a fork that tidied up the dependencies and leans harder on the ox libraries. A script written for QBCore will usually run on QBox, but not always, so every listing states what it actually supports.

The inventory is the heart of the configuration. Servers on qb-inventory and servers on ox_inventory register items differently, so after installing you add the new items to the right file — ours document that step with the entry ready to copy. Database work goes through oxmysql.

Installation holds no surprises: folder into resources, ensure resource_name in server.cfg, import the SQL if one is included. The resource has to start after qb-core and after the inventory — otherwise the console throws nil errors, because the script reaches for something that is not there yet.
